With a history that’s as rich as its flavor, cacao has been a star in the culinary world for over 500 years and is among nature’s most complex flavor materials. A delicacy for some, and an agricultural lifeblood for others, Theobroma literally translates as “food of the gods.” Ever taste a good artificial cocoa or chocolate?  Neither have we and that is why we produce over thirty different all-natural cocoa materials, using cocoa beans from West Africa, South America and the Caribbean. Horner’s first product was a cocoa extract and today we produce a wide array of cocoa extracts and powders to suit the diverse requirements of our customers around the world.
